Governors

Robert Knight – Chair of Governors

I only ever wanted to be a teacher and was privileged to spend 34 years working in schools. My experience was as an English teacher, subject leader and then senior leader in secondary schools; I spent 13 years as a Headteacher.  Since retiring from the classroom, I have worked as a leadership coach, mainly in primary schools and have also supported Governing Bodies in becoming more effective in their work.  I am passionate about the importance of education in giving all young people the very best start in life.  As a Governor at this exciting time in the school’s development, I will do all I can to ensure that everything it does helps all children to fulfil their potential.

Mrs Vikki Botham – Vice-Chair of Governors

Mr Christopher Brislen – LA Governor

Mr Brian Swindles – Parent Governor

My name is Brian Swindles.  I am the Link Governor for Safeguarding.  Having young children at both the infant and junior schools I enjoy being part of the governing body within the federation, helping to shape the future and ensure a safe learning environment exists within which the children and staff can grow together, reaching and exceeding their own potential.

When not supporting the school in a governor capacity I am a highly motived professional Aerospace Engineer for a large global organisation with a passion to engage children in engineering.  This exciting career has presented me with a number of opportunities to share my knowledge and experience with  children of varying ages from across the federation, introducing the children to a number of areas of engineering ranging from initial concept design through to make and test projects.
